All Head Teachers at The Montessori Schoolhouse are trained and Montessori Certified and all Assistants are trained by the Montessori Schoolhouse Director and staff.
Regine Ebner, Owner, Director, Lower Elementary Head Teacher
Owner, Director and Founder of The Montessori Schoolhouse, Regine Ebner studied art and creative writing at Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Education and Literature from the University of Hartford. She trained in Montessori at the Montessori Training Center of Michigan and received her Master of Education degree in Counseling and Guidance from the University of Arizona. Regine is certified by the American Montessori Society. Since receiving her Masters degree, Regine has worked as a Family Counselor in private practice. In addition to directing The Montessori Schoolhouse, Regine supervises the teaching of the Elementary classrooms and currently co-teaches in the Lower Elementary classroom.
Hannah Ebner, Assistant Director, Teacher (all levels)
Hannah Ebner is a Montessori Schoolhouse kid and recently moved back to Tucson from Denver. She received her Montessori Elementary I and II credential in 2012, and her Masters in Montessori Education in 2016. She is thrilled to be back at the Schoolhouse working at both campuses as the Assistant Director after eight years of Montessori teaching in various schools around the country. Her favorite quote by Maria Montessori: “The greatest gifts we can give our children are the roots of responsibility and the wings of independence.”
Perla Villa, Upper Elementary Head Teacher and Choral Director
Perla Villa received her Upper Elementary Montessori Diploma from the North American Montessori Center in 2017. In addition, Perla holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education in grades K-12 from The University of Texas El Paso and a Master of Music in Voice Performance from The University of Arizona. Perla was happy to join The Montessori Schoolhouse in 2012 when she founded The Montessori Schoolhouse Choir and was delighted to expand her role as a classroom teacher in 2013. Perla’s passion for Montessori Education began 25 years ago, and she has been involved in Montessori Education ever since in Mexico, Texas, and Arizona.
Judith Yee, Upper Elementary Head Teacher
Judith Yee has been a teacher at the Montessori Schoolhouse since 2012. She has Montessori training background in the Primary age group from New Child Montessori, along with Montessori certification in the Upper Elementary age group from North American Montessori Center. Judi is also certified through the Arizona Department of Education as a Highly Qualified Early Education Teacher for preschool through 3rd grade. Judi holds undergraduate degrees in Business Administration and Arts and Letters from Northern Arizona University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Phoenix. Judi has a passion for Montessori education and is thrilled to be part of the Montessori Schoolhouse.
